Octave Lissner, a pop artist tinged with soul and rock, won over audiences at the Club Med Live Festival this summer. We had the pleasure of chatting with him to find out more about his journey as an independent artist, his inspirations, projects, and how Groover has helped him gain visibility so far. It was also an opportunity to introduce you to the Club Med Live Festival, a real springboard for the emerging scene!
I’ve had some great live opportunities thanks to Groover, several concerts including one abroad. They also helped me with the digital campaign for my latest single, playlists, and overall promotion on social networks.

Discover Octave Lissner, the artist who enchanted the Club Med Live Festival
Born in Paris, Octave Lissner began his musical journey with the violin as a child before eventually turning to guitar and songwriting. With a passion for rock, folk and soul, he has developed a rich and eclectic musical universe, inspired by legends such as Nino Ferrer, Bob Marley, Otis Redding, Leonard Cohen and the Beatles. His influences are reflected in his unique music, which blends emotional depth with haunting melodies.
Over the course of his career, Octave has released two albums, Wildflower and Octave Lissner, that testify to his versatility and talent as a singer and songwriter. In his lyrics, he explores universal themes such as love, loss and the quest for self, captivating an ever-growing audience.
This summer, Octave had the opportunity to play at the Club Med Festival, and we had the chance to meet him to learn more about his project.
- Hi Octave! Can you introduce yourself in a few words?
“My name is Octave Lissner, I’m a singer, songwriter and composer. My journey started when I was young, in elementary, middle, and high school, when I started writing songs. I then started to gain confidence in myself thanks to the concerts I was doing and the people who invested their time and know-how into my projects over the years.“
- How would you describe your music?
“I’d say my music is pop as a whole. I like a lot of soul music, I like English and American rock bands, I like blues: in short my music is a bit of a mix of all the music I like, especially from the 60s/70s. I’d say it’s multi-faceted pop, with the occasional funky element. The best conditions to discover my music in would be at home, with friends, in the evening, on a trip, or in the car for example; I think these are great ways to discover my songs.“
- How did you discover Groover?
“I discovered Groover through my manager Vincent, who introduced me to them. We were looking for a partner to help us a bit with the promotion of my new tracks. And given that I’m an independent artist, Groover was the best solution.“
- What has Groover done for you?
“I’ve had live opportunities that were great thanks to Groover, several concerts including one abroad. They also helped me with the digital campaign for my latest single, playlists, and overall promotion on social networks.“
- What are your current/future projects?
“I’ve already released two singles, one called Bones and the other called Superquick, which will be part of a forthcoming album that will probably be out next fall.”

- What would your advice be for artists just starting out?
“I’d advise artists starting out to trust themselves above all, make the music they love, and to not be afraid to campaign for themselves and go meet people they respect and would like to work with. And most importantly to simply learn from their mistakes, because they will inevitably make them.”

What is Club Med Live?
Founded on the idea that a change of scenery is the source of inspiration, Club Med Live is an artist residency hosted by the resort’s locations in the most beautiful places on earth, combining travel and creation.
The program has a roster of over 3,000 artists and creators in a wide range of fields (music, visual arts, craft and original experiences) invited to perform on their open stage and freely develop their artistic projects in over 30 destinations.

The Club Med Live Festival: encounters and unleashed creativity
This is the 4th year that Club Med Live has organized a summer festival at their Grand Massif Samoëns Morillon Resort, at an altitude of 1600 meters, for a moment of encounters and shared creativity. Club Med Live offers an all-inclusive festival, with a carefully selected program of unique artists and experiences.
This year, more than 30 European artists and creatives were able to take advantage of the experience to nurture their projects and meet the Club Med Live partners invited to the festival – including Groover.
Groover is proud to contribute to this event by enabling promising talents such as Octave Lissner this year, and Sasha Dansant last year, to play at the festival and thrill audiences with their passion.
